daagwerk Documentation Workload & absences
Chapter 10
Workload & absences
Set up your personal target/actual working hours, use public holidays and manage absences (vacation, sick leave, comp time).
Workload & absences
What it is
The Workload tab shows your personal target/actual working hours – visible only to you. You’ll find it under Manage → My Entries → Workload.
Step 1: Set up your working hours
In your profile you enter:
- Weekly hours – your agreed weekly working time,
- Workdays – which weekdays you work,
- Country / State – for the correct public holidays.
The target is derived from weekly hours ÷ workdays; the actual is the sum of your bookings.
Views & balance
Switch between Week, Month and Year – the scale stays consistent. An hours balance shows the over-/under-coverage for the selected period.
Public holidays
daagwerk knows the statutory public holidays of all 16 German states. On public holidays the target is automatically 0; the day is marked as a day off.
Managing absences
Enter absences in your profile:
- Vacation, Sick leave, Comp time.
- Full day or half day (half days only on a single date).
On full absence days the target is 0, on half days it’s reduced accordingly – so the balance stays fair.
Tips & pitfalls
- This data is strictly personal: even managers/admins cannot see your workload.
- Bookings on days off remain possible – they appear in the grey day-off bar.
