daagwerk Documentation Personal Settings
Chapter 15
Personal Settings
Profile, password, language, personal timer stops, timer reminders (email and browser push) and work schedule.
Personal Settings
What it is
You reach your personal settings by clicking your name/avatar at the bottom of the sidebar (the Profile page). They apply only to you.
Profile & password
- Maintain your name and display details.
- Change password – enter your current and new password.
- Language – German or English.
Personal timer stops & reminders
Define when your running timers end automatically:
- Maximum duration (minutes),
- Lunch time,
- End of day.
These apply in addition to the company-wide defaults (see Administration); the shortest applicable rule wins.
- Reminder threshold: choose after how long daagwerk reminds you of a still running timer by email (Off / 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 hours).
- Browser push: additionally enable reminders as a browser notification (desktop, even with the tab closed). If a push device is active, push replaces the email; otherwise the email remains as a fallback.
Work schedule
- Weekly hours and workdays,
- Country / state (for the correct public holidays),
- Typical working hours (start/end, e.g. 08:00–18:00).
Weekly hours, workdays and holidays are the basis for the Workload tab, where you also maintain your absences (vacation, sickness, comp time). The typical working hours additionally drive the shading in the My Week calendar.
For managers & admins
In their profile, managers and admins additionally see the Company tab with the tenant and export settings as well as Branding – see Administration.
Tips & pitfalls
- Set your work schedule correctly, otherwise the target/actual comparison in Workload won’t be right.
- Personal timer stops are handy if you often forget to stop the timer.
