Basics & Navigation

Signing in, the layout of the interface and how to find your way around daagwerk.

Basics & Navigation

Signing in

  1. Open client.daagwerk.de.
  2. Enter your email and password and confirm with Sign in.
  3. Forgot your password? Use Forgot password to get a reset link by email; on the next page you set a new password.

You get a new account by invitation from an administrator (see Team & user management).

Layout of the interface

On the left is the sidebar with three sections:

SectionItems
TrackDashboards · Timer · Inbox blank bookings
ManageMy Entries · Accounts · Reports · Budgets · Templates
SystemUsers · Backups · Cleanup · Import

At the top of the sidebar you’ll find two quick actions:

  • Start timer – opens the job picker dialog and starts a timer.
  • Add booking – opens the form for a manual booking.

At the bottom are the theme switcher (light/dark), your profile (clicking your name/avatar opens the personal settings) and Log out.

Visibility by role: The items under System (Users, Backups, Cleanup) are only visible to admins; Import is visible to managers and above. More on this in Team & roles.

The most important pages at a glance

  • Dashboards (/) – overview with top accounts and budget cards.
  • Timer (/timer) – running timers, quick start, favorites.
  • Inbox blank bookings (/inbox) – open bookings without a job.
  • My Entries (/entries) – booking list, inline editing, filters, plus the Utilization tab.
  • Accounts (/accounts) – managing your structure (drill-down).
  • Reports (/reports) – filtered reports and exports.
  • Budgets (/budgets) – budget overview of all projects.
  • Templates (/templates) – reusable notes.
  • Users / Backups / Cleanup / Import – administration.

Language & theme

  • Language: daagwerk is available in German and English; you choose the language in the settings or in your profile.
  • Theme: Use the switcher at the bottom to toggle between light and dark mode.

Everywhere a date is required, a calendar picker opens – but you can also type directly. The format is DD.MM.YYYY.
