FAQ & Troubleshooting
Where is my data stored?
Exclusively in a data center in Germany, with its own authentication and strict tenant isolation.
What is the difference between “Booked” and “Billable”?
Booked is the time you recorded, Billable is the time charged to the client. Both are tracked separately and shown on the report.
Can I track time without choosing a job first?
Yes – with the blank timer. The open entry lands in the Inbox and is assigned to a job later.
How do I set the columns in the PDF report?
In the PDF dialog you pick a preset or assemble the columns yourself (via checkbox and drag) and save your selection as a preset. The hourly rate only appears for managers and admins.
Why am I not receiving a notification?
Operational notifications only go to the internal roles Account Manager and Customer Success. If none of these emails is set for an account, nothing is sent. Enter them in the account properties. Also check your spam folder.
I don’t see the “Users/Backups/Cleanup” items.
These are reserved for admins; Import is visible to managers and above. Please contact an administrator.
Does daagwerk convert between currencies?
No. Amounts are summed separately per currency – without conversion.
Why does the PDF dialog preview show ”—” for hourly rate/amount?
These values are only calculated by the finished PDF. In the live preview they appear as ”—”; in the generated PDF they are filled in.
What happens to entries that span midnight?
They are automatically split at the day boundary – so daily and utilization reports stay accurate.
What is a planned booking?
A booking with the planned status – ideal for future or recurring appointments (e.g. regular syncs). It does not count toward budgets, reports or statements until you activate it (check icon in the My Week calendar). Only then does it become a real booking and gets charged to the purchase order. You create whole series in the booking window via “Repeat”.
A timer ran too long – why wasn’t it stopped?
Automatic stops take effect by maximum duration/lunch/end of day (personal or company-wide). There is also a company-wide default maximum duration (default 8 hours). Check your personal settings.
I’m not getting a browser reminder for long timers
First check in your Profile under timer stops whether the reminder is on and whether you enabled browser push. Push works on desktop browsers (Chrome/Edge/Firefox). On Safari delivery may fail – in that case you automatically receive the reminder by email as a fallback.
Can I export my data?
Yes – as PDF, CSV, JSON and XML, as well as a full ZIP data export (JSON + CSV) via self-service.
Is there an API?
Yes – see For Developers and the Swagger reference.
For developers
The complete REST API reference — every endpoint, payload and response — is available live at api.daagwerk.de.
